WORK
PROGRAMME/PROJECT MANAGEMENT
International development programmes and projects usually require a high level of organization as they demand the coordination of different actors and their impact is fundamental for the life of many people. I have been working with different international organizations managing funds, human resources and designing future projects and interventions.
RESILIENCE, DISASTER RISK MANAGEMENT AND GOVERNANCE
Better resilience and disaster risk management is needed to prevent the harm of increasing disasters. I have been working with governments of developing countries to increase their capacity to prevent and mitigate the different disaster risks and to prepare the management of future humanitarian crisis.
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
Economic growth policies, local innovation ecosystems, better know-how, strategic plans… all are tools that increase economic development. I have been working with different national and city governments on plans or analysis of some of their policies.
EVALUATIONS
Impact evaluation looks to assess the change attribute to a particular policy or project. They seek to answer cause-and-effect questions. I have been working evaluating projects with the World Bank and other institutions, evaluating the impact of an intervention in a population or a territory.
HUMANITARIAN CRISIS MANAGEMENT
Today, there are still many places that require humanitarian responses due to natural hazards, climate change, man-made causes or conflicts. I have been working supporting the humanitarian responses in Ecuador with United Nations (Tungurahua Volcano and Ecuador Floods), coordinating funds and humanitarian partners with the government of Ethiopia (drought, refugees, floods or human diseases) and coordinating the humanitarian logistics with the Spanish Aid Agency (Haiti earthquake and Pakistan floods).
INNOVATION ECOSYSTEMS
Creating a local innovation ecosystem is very relevant to develop economic growth. I have been working with cities studying how to strengthen and foster the local innovation ecosystem.
